One of the many ironical parts of the First World War is that it has been called by many living during that time period "the war that would end all wars". Incest was another big thing between the kingdoms due to the fact that all of Europe’s leaders were parts of the same family and they only married inside the family. This is proof to how many family members fought against each other in this blood thirsty war. The war began one hundred and one year ago (1914) on August the first. It all started with Germany declaring war on Russia, just do declare war on France after two days. After this, it was like a chain reaction where all the different countries joined in the cycle of war to compete for the upper rank in society. Yes, it can be said that Europe at that time was in economical crisis and it was unstable from multiple points of view. People can also state that nationalism was a growing feeling among the nations, which isn’t that good of a thing when in excess. Due to nationalism, some countries started wanting their own independence while others were in search of a way to gain back the old lands that they had lost. Another thing that had sprouted from nationalism was the growing competitions between the colonies, which made the “owner” countries feel uneasy back home with the fear that someone else might take over or that colony would gain independence, thus ending the bonus of resources and weakening the economy. Another reason that could be said about Warld War one is the issue of militarism, where different countries would have more and more advances in weaponry, getting more pride in their country (which leads back to nationalism) and would also make all the other countries feel
