Throughout our lives sports have been popular and loved by fans across the world, soon this could be changing. “What was always a business has now become a bigger business, with players’ salaries, franchise values, and stadium costs all shifted by orders of magnitude” (Rosen and Sanderson 47). The increase of athlete salaries and pay has its pros making many players playing much harder making the games much more entertaining.
Higher salaries can attract more talented athletes and make them work harder to maintain their positions on teams and skill. With better plays on the teams, the quality of play and entertainment will improve with it, making the sports more exciting for fans. As more ticket prices increase as well, more revenue is brought in to spend on things such as train aging facilities and the best of the best equipment. The better the facilities the more fans will be attracted to the sport.
