Scope of Practice: Overall, Dr. Jaen’s main responsibility is to administer anesthesia to patients before surgery. Surgery includes a wide variety of procedures. Anesthesiologists even administer anesthesia to young children and neonatal patients prior to diagnostic tests such as MRIs. For intensive care patients, anesthesiologists are often responsible for ventilator and airway control. In addition, anesthesiologists have the authority to prescribe drugs to patients.
In the five years as principal, her school met exceptional growth in the areas of reading and math. When asked how the school had progressed with her as principal, she said, “I created professional learning communities to focus on student learning and differentiated instruction.” After much success as a principal at Sunland Park, she was offered a principal position at Anthony Elementary. Anthony Elementary had not met AYP standards for three consecutive years. When Ms.Perez got to Anthony Elementary, the teachers had many excuses as to why Anthony Elementary was not meeting the AYP standards.
Competency 5 This year I had a student who was very intelligent but was having reading and writing difficulties. We were having difficulty getting the appropriate placement for him due to how intelligent he is. During a meeting on May 23, 2017 and in emails prior to this conference, I pushed to get him qualified for his one on one continual assistance from a teacher during his writing class time. He really needs the direct help to be able to complete assignments.
IDEA OR PRACTICE BEING USED: The district worked collaboratively with teachers to develop personalized learning for all educators to help with using new technology in their classroom. Educators were given an opportunity to teach learning sessions about something they feel they do well or choose learning sessions relevant to where they were with the ease of using technology using the SAMR model. Teachers could also create a TEPS project that involves exploring an educational project that can improve the classroom, and they earn graduate hours. Domain and Understanding that the ideas addresses: Domain III: Systems for Capacity Building Understanding: 0005 Understand how to use professional development for staff, faculty, and self, to promote lifelong learning and the success of all student
I volunteered at Mother Hubbard's Cupboard, an emergency food pantry, in Wilmington, North Carolina from 2012-2016. Throughout my four years of service, I learned how to handle almost all of the jobs available to volunteers, including packing packages for families with a stove or no-stove individuals, teaching new volunteers about the Cupboard and the jobs available, checking patrons in at the front desk, preparing hygiene supply packages for patrons, and working at various tables in the front to distribute various additional food to patrons. I am interested in serving on the Feed the Pack Leadership Team because I want to expand the overall impact and efficiency of Feed the Pack. I am committed to service and I want to lead a life of serving others, and I believe that working on the FTP Leadership team will allow me to continue to maximize my service efforts in the community and beyond.
Being a Web leader can help me become more aware of these things, and make me a better person, while helping others. I will still know these kids, and when they even come to high school, and when i am a senior, I can help them as a freshman too. This program can impact my life, and everyone is nervous on the first day of school, and the teachers can only do so much. Taking them on a tour answering questions, can all make them feel less nervous. Hearing it from a student that has gone to Transit will be easier than a teacher, because we were once in their
In this practicum I will narrate an interview that was done with a Hispanic parent. I will describe her and her family structure. I will also elaborate on her involvements in her children academics, and teacher parent relationship. Also better ways to encourage parents to get involved in their children education will be added, and how teachers can assist with making the parents feel welcomed inside of the classroom.
I am very thankful for the opportunity to intern at the Waterfront Public School and having the chance to work with two very different students with DD. This experience gave me a better understanding of how the Toronto District School Board (TDSB) employs DSWs and how they value our role within their classrooms. I was fortunate enough to work with a collaborative team of staff that encouraged my professional growth by allowing me to assess and implement new teaching strategies. This team also provided me with much needed feedback and criticism along the way, which I valued and learned from. In addition, this education support placement allowed me to fulfill many performance elements related to learning outcome seven of the DSW Program Manual.
Giovanna Eynaudi Ethical Conduct for Applied Behavior Analysts Case Study: Evaluate a Program Based on Monitoring Data Background Information and Present Level of Performance Jane is a 5 year old kindergarten student who attends Nova Elementary school. She is placed in a special education classroom with 1 teacher, 1 aide and 8 students. Jane also has a temporary 1:1 aide that is with her all day that has been provided by the school district to assist in the implementation of this behavior plan. Jane has a few words that she uses functionally (hi, more, mommy, juice, all done, bye bye) but is not fluently verbal. She can occasionally imitate words modeled for her, but not consistently.
Group projects are assigned increasingly more often, the desks in many classrooms are arranged in “pods”, and cubicles are often replaced by open workfloors with not so much as a curtain separating one person from another. All this is out of a
Successful home-school-community partnerships involve all stakeholders and give them an equal voice in the decision-making process. The compare and contrast of Head Start and Reggio Emilia approaches from Task 3 & 4. COMPARE Task 3: List the ways families can become involved in school.
During my job shadow with Ms. Eileen Chalupa on Doane’s Campus I learned how to be creative, come up with my own style of graphic designing, and most importantly to never give up or lose hope on a project that someone has asked for. Her job is the head graphic designer at Doane University. Some questions that I asked her during the job shadow were what are some positive aspects and negative aspects of working as a graphic designer, are the hours flexible for the job and another question I asked was what training did she do to get ready for this type of work and if it required any type of education to complete. One of the reasons she chose this career was because her mother went through the desktop publishing program at Southeast Community
Work with children Throughout my high school and college years, I have had several experiences with children that have all played a part in shaping my love for working with children. During high school, I spent two summers nannying for two young school aged children. Working with these siblings really made me realize how much fun I have working with children and watching them grow. Once I came to college, I started another babysitting job working with two four year old twin girls.
Jacob Kounin turned his attention on a study of the practical problem of classroom management, from the standpoint of technology. But Fred Jones talks about tools for teaching implements response to intervention where it is a multi-level system that focuses on the prevention of learning problems. It is designed to develop capacity for identifying, adapting and sustaining effective instructional practices. Dr. Jones has developed methods of classroom management that are both powerful and affordable for all teachers. Classroom management expert Fred Jones identifies "three zones of proximity" and discusses how knowing what they are can help you "work the crowd" in your own classroom.
Based on our calculations in Appendix 1. at the first stage support costs were allocated to two existing departments, i.e. Machining and Assembly, based on direct labor hours. Therefore total amount of costs assigned to Machining department is $472.000,00 and to Assembly department is $248.000,00. At the second stage total costs from both departments were distributed to products (Regular and Deluxe). Referring to our calculations in Appendix 1.
