Throughout the years, people have visually examined mass murders and wondered at how an individual or a group of individuals could take the lives of another immensely large group of people. Society often mistake mass murders to its close cognation with serial murder and spree killers. The terminology “mass murder” was acclimated around 1980 to establish an individual or group of individuals who kill many (three and more) at once. Some types of mass murders committed by individuals are Disciple Killers, Family Annihilators, and Disgruntled Employees. However, it is not only individuals that consummate mass murder. Since the distinguishment of the term “mass murder,” it now includes the government being responsible for also committing mass murder.
