In life, external forces can either drive someone to do something positive or prevent them from making a large mistake. In Shakespeare's play Macbeth, William Shakespeare conveys the idea that external forces, like the three witches, negatively influence Macbeth by putting ideas into his head which in theory can seem nice but sometimes perceptions of greatness can misconstrue one's view of reality.
