Influence Of Spirit In Ebenezer Scrooge's A Christmas Carol

Change opens up new doors you would never imagine. I bet you, the reader has experienced a change in your life. In A Christmas Carol, Ebenezer Scrooge was visited by three goats; however readers disagreed about which spirit impacted him the most. The spirit that influenced Scrooge the most was the future, because he witnessed Tiny Tim’s death and his own grave with businessmen discussing his mom-funeral.

The first reason Scrooge was impacted by the future was when scrooge was at the graveyard and saw Tiny Tim's death. For example when tiny tim said “And he took a child in the midst of them.” Scrooge frantically looked around and said with a panic,”huh? Who spoke? Who said that?” when scrooge heard tiny tim's voice you could see that he was freaked out that he could not see who had spoken. Thus showing that Tiny Tim's death greatly affected his family. As seen during the time scrooge witnessed the businessmen saying “oh no, i didn’t even know much about it either way i only know he is dead…” the first businessman said “it likely to be a cheap funeral upon my life, i don’t know a living soul who care to venture to it…” the second businessmen said “i don’t mind going if a lunch is provided, but i must be fed if i make one.” Spirit, why did you show me this? Why do you show me businessmen from my streets as they take the death of Jacob Marley? That is the past. You are future! Said scrooge as you see the ghost of christmas future is showing scrooge the businessmen talking about a death and scrooge is confused because he still thinks that those men are talking about his old co-worker, but soon he will realize he was wrong and he will be
