Although William Shakespeare is acknowledged as one of literature’s greatest influences, very little is known about his past life before he started writing his plays. What is known about his life comes from “administrator records, court records, marriage certificates, wills, and his tombstone.” Birth It has not officially recorded when William Shakespeare was born but what we know is the earliest form of record is his baptism certificate which took place on Wednesday, April the 26th, 1564.
