Foster Care in Texas Some people don’t even get to have the luxury of having a nice home like us. Many were forced to go to a foster home since the children were too young to be living by themselves, foster care will provide for those in need. But, why can’t people see that this is an issue? Why do we allow these things to happen to this group? A lot of children that was placed into these foster homes could potentially have the knowledge of being able to save the world. Such as, becoming a doctor or engineer and benefit the world from going in the right the direction. But, they wouldn’t be able to do such thing, since they have no resources in getting what they need to help the people around them, like the education that foster care would provide. …show more content…

Are the kids really being cared for? What makes them so unimportant? As, Anne Heiligenstein states, “Children traumatized by abuse weren't always getting the medical and dental care they needed and deserved.” (Heiligenstein) Even if the children weren’t being abuse, the kids still wouldn’t be getting the needs they deserve. Almost 29,000 Texas children are being affected by this cause. All are being abused physically and mentally, many may not even recover from this. Some of the social workers are aware of this issue and are afraid of their voice to speak up. Most likely, to just benefit for themselves and care more for their jobs than anything
