i just got back from Old Faithful and boy it was amazing! Oh my gosh it was so fun , at first i was starting to get annoyed, but then boom! What looked like a thousands of gallons of water bursted into the air! But tomorrow we are going to be going to some historical landmarks first on our list, Fort Yellowstone. But on our way there i'm going to be telling you about Fort Yellowstone. “Fort Yellowstone was a U.S. Army fort, established in 1891 at Mammoth Hot Springs in Yellowstone National Park. ... Yellowstone was also established as the first National Park in the entire world. Something i thought was interesting is the fact that Yellowstone has over 300 active geysers and 290 water falls! Did you know that Yellowstone has more than 1,800 archaeologist sights! Yellowstone is also home to two of the world's threatened species, the canadian lynx fox, and grizzly bears. Also in 2015 the park Yellowstone had 4,097,710 visitors, a new park record. Yellowstone has up to 1000 to 3000 earthquakes a year.the highest point of the park is 11,358 at eagle peak and the lowest, at reece creek is 5,282. There are only 30 supervolcanoes on earth and yellowstone park is one of them and also the only one located on land. 80 % of the forested part of yellowstone is made of lodgepole. What i found very surprising is that yellowstone park is larger than Delaware and rhode island combined. Did you know that Yellowstone park is actually 80% forest, 14% water and only 6% grassland!
