Close your eyes think of all the people you care about in your life. Imagine their faces what they mean to you. Now open your eyes and what greets you but a nuclear war zone everything you once cared for is now erased from existence. Obviously that’s not what it looks like outside however the potential for that reality is very much true. The year of 2017 has being devastated by hurricanes, earthquakes, raging fires, and countless acts of terrorism and the most fighting of them all is North Korea. The North Korean government has the world on edge with their nuclear testing. In order to understand why North Korea poses such an enormous threat some background information will give great contexts. The country of North Korea was formed in 1948 and was called The Democratic People’s Republic of Korea(DPRK). The united Nations divided the Korean peninsula at the 38th parallel giving responsibility of the north to Russia and the south to the United States. Just like North Kore test firing their missiles south Korea tests their own missiles to show the North that if a war starts they can fight back. In an article published by CBS the South Korean government said “South Korea's military said the Taurus missile fired from an F-15 fighter jet traveled through obstacles at low altitudes before hitting a target off the country's western coast during drills Tuesday.” The Souths military has been trying to ramp up their arsenal due to all the tests form the North.
