The amendment I chose for my research essay is the first amendment. The first amendment was important and it stood for the freedom of speech so you could say things that were restricted before. Why people felt that it was needed is because you could say things that were restricted and was also used for practice of religion which was important to people. How we see this amendment today is that it gave people more freedom letting them practice their religion. And that's many things that first amendment has done. I felt like the first amendment was called the first amendment and was given those values because I feel like those albums is what helped end discrimination against one another and discrimination is one of the biggest problems in the world. I also felt that it's glad that we still have this amendment and that we still use it in our daily life because if we thought about not having this amendment than in the past there could have been a war that could still have impacted us until today.
