Amendment The topic I chose is about the first Amendment which states, “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech or of the press, or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances”. The reason why I chose this topic is, it is concern every citizens of this nation. This Amendment grants all citizens freedom of speech, freedom of press, freedom of assembly, and the right to protest. I think the first amendment is very important because without it; we wouldn’t be able to have freedom to say whatever we want or to protest peacefully. Some governments in the one hand refuses to change, and some individual people want to apply their ideas and personal values and in this way silence others; this makes freedom of expression become one of the most attacks. I believe, this freedom is important for personal development. The freedom is people to spread their thoughts without any restriction, as long as they do not affect other people in their town there is no problem in being able to express yourself. This amendment is considered important; it allows citizens to practice their religion in public or private. The freedom to practice any religion is important if you want to practice your religion you do not have to hide or get in trouble for it because you have the freedom to do it.
