Jackie Robinson was his name; he was the first African American to play in the Major League Baseball for the Brooklyn Dodgers (Robinson ix). Jackie Robinson was an interesting and famous man, which had many accomplishments and an interesting life.
On Friday, March 3, 2017, the students at Montevallo High School had a special speaker visit. His name is Jesse Jackson. The name sounds familiar because Jackson worked closely with Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and the Civil Rights Movement. Jesse Jackson was born on October 8, 1941 in Greenville, South Carolina. When his mother was sixteen he was born out of wedlock to professional boxer and well-known figure in the black community, Noah Louis Robinson.
The title of the book is acquired from the idea of the talks professers at Carnegie Mellon give, "to offer reflections on their personal and professional journeys." Which is passed along to their students in one final lecture as known as " Journeys." Randy decides it is important that he give one final lecture, once he learns that his cancer is terminal. The book becomes his autobiography focused on life lessons that Randy has learned from his past. The life lessons he spoke about were to dream big, show gratitude, never give up, tell the truth, and many other things.

As soon as I walk through the gates into the festival I am met by the smell of sweat and flowers from the pubescent dancers. Everywhere I look the invigorating music seeps into my mind from every possible angle drowning out the sound of the obnoxious crowd, filling my thoughts with utter beauty and perfection. (CCC) Gates and his friends were giver the opportunity to figure out the problems and defects in the CCC system security, because this company was suffering a big financial loss due to hackers. Gates didn’t think twice before agreeing to their deal because this opportunity lead him and his friends to have endless time to carry on their programming experiments which they didn’t get from the school.
