Mexico exudes a rich culture of time-honored traditions and beliefs which incorporate music and dance to showcase these elements. The corrido or ballad is one such genre of music where melodies have inundated the country for over a century, yet in a distorted version, continues to remain popular today. Moreover, these corridos have allowed migrants and individuals possessing the Mexican ethnicity to connect to their heritage from abroad by sharing the music unique to a culture (Madrid 2013, 92). The tones of the songs remain marginally unchanged; however, the musical lyrics, have continually evolved alongside the embracing culture.
Introduction: Have you ever been so abominated that people make racist remarks at you? Well, Jackie Robinson was. Jackie Robinson was a baseball player for the Brooklyn Dodgers from 1947-1956, but he wasn't an average baseball player, he was an Activist, Philanthropist, and most importantly the first black player in the MLB. As Jackie went throughout his career he was despised and loved, fans would chant his name but others would throw things at him and call him racial slurs just because he was attempting to integrate baseball. While this was all going on Jackie wouldn't say a word, he wouldn't throw his fists up or attempt to fight them he would just let his game do the talking.
Though we shouldn 't forget the main issue, these boys are a menace to the peaceful vibe overall. Yes that may seem harsh to say, but there are ways to celebrated MLK day. Coco Brown, Pug 's mom, described bike riding as a wau to keep the delinquents off streets even if it 's just for a day. Still, dirt bikes and atv 's do not belong on public roads. Especially if there are other civilians driving on the same road .
I totally agreed with you. I too don't think Columbus Day should be a celebration of Columbus victory in discovering America. However, I do think we should keep the holiday and make it a day to grief for the lives lost from Columbus' violence and greed. I don't think Americans repay the Indians enough after putting them through such horror and genocide. Instead, we hurt them even more by naming a Holiday after their murder.
Slide 1- Introduction Good morning/afternoon everybody, today I have been assigned with informing you all about the Aztecs, or more importantly, the reason for their annihilation. Now you may be thinking that it was mainly to do with a war, but it is actually almost solely a disease called the variola disease or as it’s more commonly known, small-pox Slide 2-What were the symptoms and effects Now you may be wondering what made the disease so dangerous to the Aztecs. The main problem of the disease was the fact that not only did it kill 3/10 people effected it also severely lowered the victims fighting capabilities meaning that when the Spanish attempted to fight the Aztecs, it became much more favourable to the Aztecs. (Healthline, n.d.)
I remember as a child being told these absurd stories that had been passed on from generation to generation, Myths if you will. Where there were so realistic and full of detail that I too began to start thinking it could possibly be true, but I didn’t want to put that illusion in my head that it was all true. So I associated them as being nothing more than a fantasy. Now the thing with some of these stories are they can be pretty intense to the point of being traumatized.
The United States of America is a land of freedom, a land of equality, and opportunity. We value independence and should look to exercise this in every form, as a nation. We must stay united and show respect to one another. This means we should not disregard ones ' ethnicity and culture, and use names in which are offensive towards their culture, in order to promote any sort of activity. This is aimed mainly at sports teams that carry racially inappropriate names.

Music also evolves and changes as time elapses; consequently, different generations identify with songs from various genres that are prominent during their lifetime. One of my favorite songs is “La Gozadera” by Gente de Zona and Marc Anthony; this rhythmic song is sung in Spanish. I. Love. This.
