Thesis: The Zika virus continues to spread from country to country having hundreds of cases here in the United States, we all must know a little background about this virus. Introduction: I. Attention: A lot of people have cancelled their island vacations this year due to the on going news about Zika. II. Reveal & relate topic: We all need to learn about Zika today because it is currently rapidly spreading around the globe. III. Credibility: According to an article by Debra Goldschmidt on CNN, April 15th of 2016 -- The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention screened a little over 4,000 people for the Zika virus between January and March. Over 4% tested positive for the virus. More than 94% tested negative and another 1% had an unspecified virus in the same family as Zika. …show more content…
