Initiative Process
The initiative process for the state of California has positive aspects as well as its less favorable aspects. The process originates from an issue that triggers a need for a huge change in the lives of many people. The development is a quick process; however, it narrows down to the energy of getting valid petition signatures for a single issue. A strong will of determination from the idea holder and a nice portion of funds as to how they intend to construct the material in such a way to get the initiative in motion to become successful whether it is for or against something.

The initiative process concern surfaced as a problem the minute the first Constitution came about they referred to it as the classicist method of “direct democracy” (Korey, 2009). This occurs when the people designate what measures and concerns are pertinent to their lives and not the politicians in which they voted in the political position. A great reason why we need the education of the politicians is when the woman whom had “the garden of angel” which contain dead abandon babies need assistance to elevate this horrific matters She spoke to her effective legislature at that time, who was Jim Brulte with the knowledge and resources put together a program to resolve this concern and it became the Safe Haven Law (Rasky, 2009). Because of the “republic” the legislature must represent their members whom they serve or a better way of saying they are employed by the people to work for the people. Even if the issue does not sit well with the representative there should be no predispositions from the politicians. If biases surface, then connect the matters to someone who can assist. The woman knew that this small issue she once had control over had a rippling consequence. Therefore, she relinquished the information to the politician who is positioned to handle the citizens’ matters. This form of direct democracy does not require any background in politics or policies. So the goal is to get things done in a timely manner especially if they had other political position in mind. Even though the ideas are a great issue at the time, the lasting effect has not been measured. The financial donation is unlimited when dealing with initiatives and propositions. This is where the fine print comes to play and the average person is not educated in depth of the backers who push the issues financially.
