Parent need to plan ahead. Parent can arrange to communicate with school or teachers before the school begin. There will provide time for the school and teacher to have discussion to help the child and prepare the classroom environment. Next, parent need to put effort for make meetings happen. Parent need to involve in every parental involvement to know and understand how the child behavior and improvement in the school. In addition, parent create goals together with the school and teachers. Parent need to write down specific and realistic goals and talk about how they can be reached. Next, parent need to listen the teachers even if sometimes hard to hear it. This will be a key to understand the challenges that the child facing in the school and parent can find out the solutions to solve the problem. If parent not willing to listen, the challenges that the child facing will never be solve. Parent also need to share information to the teachers, so that the teacher will have an idea to help and teach the child. This also will help the teacher can understand and know more about the child. Parent need to check and help the child organize the belongings on a daily basis. At the same time help the child learn to make and use checklists, crossing items off as they are accomplished. If possible, keep an extra set of textbooks and other materials at home. Parent can pick a specific time and place for homework and revision with the child. While revision and doing homework, parent need to allow the child have a breaks often as five to twenty minutes. The conclusion for parents can provide accommodation to help the child with ADHD learn together with children without disabilities.
