In the evolution of a criminal and the Invictus poem, they both had a similar meaning. In the evolution of a criminal Darrius, life was black, but he found light because he kept his head up. The Invictus poem was the same cause the man was going through some rough times, but he also kept his head up. In the Invictus, he was standing face to face with death; in the evolution of a criminal Darrius was standing face to face with his consequences.
In the movie the evolution of a criminal, you will see a lot of foreshadowing the author threw in there. The hostages that were in there were hoping they did not lose their lives. When they had gotten all the money, they rushed back to the car in a hurry. While they were riding down the street, they could not help but to look out the car window. When Darrius got back home, he put 140,000 dollars into his shoebox and put it on his mother 's bed before she walked in the door.
When she saw the money, she cried raindrops. Then when she got herself together, she went to Darrius and ask where he got it. When he told her, she called his auntie, uncle, and grandmother and told them. They agreed to only pay off the bills that were due. Later on in school about 3 weeks from the robbery, everything was getting back to the way it was the school cop knock on the classroom door and said ``Darrius lets go’’. When they got to the main office a cop came up to Darrius and put him in cuffs right away.
When he is in the cell thinking about giving up like the man in the Invictus poem was going to do, they found the courage in themselves to keep moving forward and never looked back. So they kept praying looking for a way for a way out the darkness. They had to stop doubting themselves so they could stay positive in the
