It has its faults, but overall it was a book I would recommend to tell the story of this horrific forest fire. I was not satisfied with the character in the account; they did not have enough character background to make the reader really feel for them. The characters did not connect to the reader on an emotional level I believe. For example Roosevelt and Taft are extremely narrowed mined and bland to me. He Force themes on to the reader much to frequently as well.
While some points were exaggerated, other situations were completely different from the way life was. Themes of chivalry, education and learning, feudalism, and religion were satirized through the many jokes in the film. Even though a majority of the scenes in the movie were fictional, there were true circumstances present
Through parts of the book, I am able to feel like I am walking in the characters’ footsteps. For example, when Danny is describing how he is brought up in silence (Ch.8), I feel like I am able to jump in the story and experience how that would feel. I do not think I would be able to tolerate being brought up in silence. I also believe the reader is able to realize all the struggles Reuven and Danny must encounter during their friendship. The characters also underwent a great change.
Yes, i enjoyed this book very much it really had me endcapped into the book at all times because there are so much happening and so much hatred towards 1 person. I would recommend it to others because it is a very good book and a easy
Overall, I think it was an excellent novel to
This novel was an attempted read and I wish I could 've finished it, but I got distracted with the absence of a plot near the middle of the novel.
Insert Creative Title Here In the dystopian novel Lord of the Flies by William Golding, shows the importance of civilization and the dangers of evil inside all of us. There are difficult factors within ourselves we have to face. Everyone has the ability of good and evil, anyone can be tempted to cross each line when pressured by a situation; this reveals itself in the novel through major characters such as Jack, Ralph and Piggy.
Between dry humor and the exaggeration made by the leading actresses, all of the humor portrayed is extremely overdone. All of the humor is mainly derived from farce which is a faction of low comedy. In essence, this comedy appeals to the dim minded that find humor in
The story, dialogue, plot line, clothing and everything in between of this quirky film is destined to be loved by all
As mentioned before, the book is very information rich. It is so heavily filled with information that the majority of the time I felt like it was boring and slow. Someone who loves to know everything there is to know on a topic may enjoy more than I did though. * What are the strengths and weaknesses of the book?
García Mccall does an excellent job at adding non-fiction facts into the story, but still maintaining it as a work of fiction. She brought the realistic side of a typical teenager and
Opinion: This book had lots of unnecessary parts. However, it was still enjoyable and humorous. I liked how it brought up controversial topics such as cheating.
The most shocking of all traits within the film which is most unlike other romantic comedies is
This book really gives you a good viewpoint on the everyday life of a poor farmer and their many struggles. I would give this book four out of five stars because it is very interesting and makes you feel up until the last few chapters, which are happy but unexciting. For example, towards the middle of the book, one of William’s best friends is starving and is swelling from lack of protein and when he finally gets food it’s satisfying and happy for the reader, too. In the end the story swings to his travels and belated education and leaves out my favorite characters from William’s village. This big swing makes you feel like you’re reading something else and there’s no story to it.
If it were any other book, it would have become too overwhelming for the reading but because of the extent of the story the author manages to let the topics mend over in each other without being too overbearing to comprehend all the
