Causes of Irrational Fears; Analysis Essay

Irrational fear can exist in various forms, either; aliens on Earth, a duck watching your every move, or cats. Nevertheless, irrational fears pose a dangerous threat due to the illogical motives that people will attempt in order to not deal with them. Consequently, what causes theses illogical motives? Why are people more terrified of irrational fears than rational fears? People cannot rationalize the odd, especially if it something dramatic. When people share a common irrational fear, it causes distrust among themselves. For example, Charlie starts to harass everyone else and picks at their differences. Charlie is suspicious of Les Goodman, when his car starts up by itself, and Steve Brand, with his radio set in his basement that he works on for hours. Tommy’s explanation and reaction is irrational while Charlie’s reaction to the situation is more rational, since he is suspicious of certain differences.
