The Outsiders is a heroic Story by S.E. Hinton. It is about a group of poor greasers and a gang of tough rich Socs, who fight for no reason, or fight to survive. How could each of the main Greasers be considered a hero? What is a hero? How does each boy have a hero-like impact? A hero is a great person who often puts himself in front of everyone, risking their life for others and how they always take action to help others. He didnt think about anything else but the innocent children's lives. So thanks to Ponyboy and Johnny they were safe and not injured. Another act is when Ponyboy befriended a Soc. Before he met Cherry, Ponyboy thought socs were “white trash with Mustangs and madras shirts”now he realizes that socs are human just like greasers. After Bob was killed,Cherry was acting like a spy for the greasers.
