Family is my highest regarded value as it is of fundamental importance. Family will always provide unconditional support and love. The values of: Respect, Generosity, Humility, Achievement, Compassion, Independence and Adaptability are also of importance as they are a representation of who I am as a person and how I was raised. Being Australian to me means being able to uphold the Australian values and having access to the basic human rights. Being able to voice my opinions and being heard. Being able to accomplish anything as there are endless opportunities in Australia and ultimately having a sense of belonging, and being able to feeling safe and comfortable in my surroundings.

These are five practices that Muslims are obligated to do to assist them in practicing what they preach and putting their words and beliefs into action. The first pillar of Islam is the Declaration of Faith (Shahadah), that is reciting the words "There is no God but Allah, and Muhammad is his messenger,” which then leads one to enter the Islamic faith. The second pillar of Islam is Prayer (Salah), Muslims are obligated to pray five times a day, they must bath before prayer and be facing in the direction of Mecca. The next pillar of Islam is giving to charity (Zakat), every Muslim is required to give a percentage of their earnings to those without the fortunes and luxuries that we have. The fourth pillar of faith is Fasting (Saum), Muslims have a set month in which they fast (Ramadan). During Ramadan is when Muslims reflect upon their behaviours and rectify their thoughts. The final pillar of faith is the Pilgrimage to Mecca (Hajj), which is a requirement to visit Mecca once in their lifetime if financially possible.
