The Iowa State Fair is the most influential events throughout the state of Iowa during the month of August. This is a place where one can go to experience shows, art, food, and see livestock from all around the country. Most people however, go to this fair simply to have fun. On my visit to the Iowa State Fair in the previous summer, tasting all of the different foods, quality of the rides and the positive attitude from the carnival workers highly encourages me to come back year after year.
In the play, “A Raisin in the Sun” we see a lot of arguments and disagreements among the members of the family. This film teaches a very special lesson that should be taken upon yourselves daily. It is filled with heart, forgiveness, sincere, and of course happiness!!! The story has been told to every little child in every little home. There are movies, plays, scripts, and much more that have been based on this story. Yet each one differs in their own little way.
Miracle on 34th Street I will be discussing two different versions of the Miracle on 34th Street between the 1955 version and the 1994 version which is exactly 39 years apart. Both of the films are very good films but I must admit that I like the 1994 version better and it could be because it was done in my timeframe and I can actually relate to it more better than the 1955 version. I will give some different comparison between the two films. The 1955 version the first thing that you can tell a difference about it is that this movie was made in a black and white version and the 1994 version was made in color.

It is the first time the Coens have worked with Tom Hanks as well as the film being their first remake. The goals we set for ourselves are often the hardest to achieve. This is due to the fact that many people are concerned with how others perceive them, and often set much higher goals than are reasonable. In addition, personal goals often stem from an internal need; no goals are achieved without drive and purpose, which only come from within. The Space Program of the 1960s is an example of a self-prescribed goal.
One of the most classic staples in film history, Singin’ in the Rain, influenced the way the film industry made movies forever. Singin’ in the Rain was a musical-comedy produced by Arthur Freed. It was released in 1952, but based in the late 1920’s, depicting the transition from silent films to “talkies.” Don Lockwood, played by Gene Kelly, was an already successful actor in the silent film era. Kathy Selden, played by Debbie Reynolds, was an aspiring actress who fell in love with Lockwood.

Sunset Boulevard (1950), directed by Billy Wilder, is a black and white film, where Norma Desmond, a famous actress of the silent film era, cannot come to terms with her career’s end. Desmond meets a guy named Joe Gillis, a struggling writer who is in financial trouble. The two come to an agreement that Gillis will polish up her script, which Norma believes will be her ticket back to the big screen, and Norma will take care of Joe financially. The one thing Norma and Joe have in common is that Hollywood has deemed both of them as undesirable. Norma experiences delusions of grandeur, and Joe cannot get his scripts picked up by a studio.

The movie I decided to choose was Forrest Gump. This movie has a lot of history of the United States that starts from around the 1950s and then into the present. The movie shows many trends in various social movements that were going on in the United States. The main character in the movie, Forrest goes through many individual and social issues through out the movie. Many of the issues are universal, but the movie shows the American nature of the social and individual issues that I believe help Non-American people learn some American culture through a great movie.
The movie featured by - Bruce Willis, Toni Collete, Olivia Williams and others. In general, the plot of the movie tells about a successful child psychologist, Malcolm Crowe, who is happy in both of his personal and professional life. On the other
