It Happened One Night
Introduction
It Happened One Night was a movie directed by Frank Capra. It was released in 1934 by Columbia pictures, being a small budget film; it was not expected to perform well at the box office. On the contrary, the film performed well to an extend that it won many accolades. This led the film winning the Academy Award for the best picture in 1934. Because of its nature as a small film, the main actor role was filled by Clark Gable, who was loaned from another studio. The film combined new and innovative techniques employed and achieved more o sound achievement.

The plot
The story is about a rebellious socialite Ellie, who marries King, but her father cancels the wedding. She runs away from her family by diving off the yacht and heads to New York. On the bus she meets with Peter, and drives away. They found out that they are in love (reluctantly) and fail to admit so to each other.
As she losses the image of a spoiled princes to pursue her happiness for aviator husband, there is a residue of being too girly in her behavior, and that is evident throughout the film. Being an adventurer, Ellie is infectiously happy on the open road, “a good morning as she wakes up in a bed, having no money, but a huge smile on her face indicates her happiness”. Peter on the other hand is sarcastic, worldly and evens a man of honor, despite being rogue, boozer and ardent reporter. The two characters depict the notion that two opposites usually attracts.
Conclusion
For a low budget film, It Happened One Night has been known to have an open wide quality considering the circumstances. The technique employed in its production, laid a benchmark to future film productions, and have been used and fused into modern production of various
