Courage is the quality of mind or spirit that enables a person to face difficulty, danger, pain,without fear but with bravery. Bravery is not only when to be without fear but it is also to know when to take a life and when not to take a life that is what it means to be brave. Guy Montag shows bravery when he kills Beatty and the mechanical hound when he knows he will be hunted. Guy Montag first shows courage in Fahrenheit 451 when he talks to Clarisse about how to change when no else will. “Montag places his hand on the woman's elbow and says, 'You can come with me. '”
Stacey’s courage Courage, people have many different meaning of courage, my meaning is standing up to do something that you think is right and what you think you need to do. In the book “Roll of Thunder,Hear my Cry”, Stacey, the brother of the main character, takes charge when Papa isn’t there, he strives to be the man of the house. He tries to take care of everything. Stacey shows courage when he gets revenge on the Jefferson Davis school bus, tells mama about the Wallace Store ,and protected Big Ma from Cassie telling about Strawberry,MS. Everyday the bus splashes the Logans on purpose, they have to go to school wet and home wet.

Depression is a psychological disorder that affects your mood and outlook on your own life. This psychological disorder is different for everyone but the way it is represented in Twilight: New Moon is inaccurate. When people have depression they have bad days and good days but they do not go from extreme lows to extreme highs very quickly. In this movie the only feeling that is represented is Bella’s extreme lows. They never show Bella having a good day.
Courage can be found where it is least expected. In her book, Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry, Mildred Taylor uses Cassie as an example courage. Courage is the ability to do something, even though you are frightened of doing it, which Cassie shows a lot throughout the book. Cassie is a little girl, who is very smart, sassy, and courageous. She stands up for what she believes and helps others that need a voice.
The theme courage shows up in both the passage Don't Give Up The Fight and the poem Making Sarah Cry Because in the beginning of Don't give up the fight there's only one girl on the track team named Ava and in Making Sarah Cry there's a boy and he and his friends are making fun of Sarah. In the middle of Don't give up the fight Ava is getting picked on by her coach, Jacob, and his friends. Then in Making Sarah Cry the boy got into a bike crash and was sent to the hospital but when he came back everyone made fun of him. Then lastly even though the stories are the same they have different messages.

Although both stories have many things in common, they both also have many of things that they have that are differences between them. For instance In Making Sarah Cry she did nothing about getting bullied and she just kept (stupidly) coming outside.

The definition of depression to me is feelings of severe despondency and dejection. For example, when Susie has really severe depression because she get bullied. Also when Louis commits suicide because he was really depressed. A Funny Story that Means Something Depression is looked at in many ways. It’s also wildly misunderstood mainly because most people don’t understand the effect it can have on a person. It’s Kind of a Funny Story, a coming of age novel for young adults written by Ned Vizzini, touches on different people and the effect mental illness has on them. The story follows Craig Gilner, a teen dealing with the pressure of growing up, trying to make his parents proud, and planning out his future all while struggling to keep himself from drowning in his deepening sadness and anxiety. Now this book may sound like a complete downer and what you would automatically associate when you think of depression, but it’s so much more than that.
It’s about waking up in the morning and wanting to go straight back to bed. Depression is as if you have come to a point in your life where you no longer want to see what is in front of you because the past is where you want to spend the majority of your time. That is depression to me. So, what is depression to you?
