Abortion is describes as a medical procedure used to end a pregnancy and cause the death of the fetus. In today’s society, abortion is seen in one of two ways. Abortion is described positive towards women’s right, when believed that pregnant women should have the right to choose whether they want to have an abortion or not. However, abortion is also viewed negatively with pro-life activist who stand against abortions and believe a fetus should have the right to live regardless of the mothers situation. There is no right or wrong answer when it comes to abortion, making it a controversial topic in society. In the song Lost Ones, by J. Cole, a story takes place between a teenage boy and girl who have gotten pregnant and now have to face reality. The boy in the song initially brings up abortion. At only nineteen she was given the news that she was expecting. Rather than taking the news as a pleasant and exciting situation, she felt stress towards the circumstance. After talking it over with her boyfriend, they both felt that at the age they were at and the financial situation they both currently faced, abortion was something to consider. This relative is my cousin, we both grew up in the same neighborhood and are only months apart. Being like a sister to me, it was hard seeing her in the pain she was in. She was disappointed in herself because she knew there was no easy way out, and in a way I was disappointed in her too. Her situation made me realize of how I would feel and what course of action I would take if I were in her situation. I’ve always said I’m pro-life and it wouldn’t matter to me what situation I faced. However, seeing the situation my cousin was in, it broaden my views on
