The Jabberwocky and the Lorax are two of the best children’s stories ever. They have many similarities and differences and that makes them fun to compare. The Lorax and The Jabberwocky at first glance sound like polar opposites. But dig deeper and you will find that these stories aren’t very different at all. Dr.Seuss is one of the greatest children's authors ever. Lewis Carroll and his twisty turny poems have made him a great author. Seuss’s the Lorax and Carroll's the Jabberwocky are different yet similar in many different aspects of writing.The stories have different yet similar settings,they have uncertain moods and deep meaningful themes,these things make them greats stories to read. The settings in the Lorax and the Jabberwocky are both filled with mythical things and creatures, but they are also different in many ways. The Lorax takes place in the Truffula trees grow. Under those Truffula trees live the Brown Bar-ba-loots. Up in the sky fly the graceful Swans Swans sings. Down in the water the Humming Fish hum. It is a beautiful scene indeed. Well the scene in Jabberwocky is quite different you see. It is in a dark forest. No light anywhere. But when the young boy kills the Jabberwocky, the forest lightened up. The theme of the Lorax is that greed leads to more greed which leads to devastation. The theme of the Jabberwocky is that nothing good will happen if you don't take action. Both these themes may seem very simple, but in reality they are very hard to decipher because of the non sense words in the story.
