This could have been a misconception. for the guy he could have not known or sensed a storm coming on because sometimes when it I a clear day it is warm and some people are going to say it is winter and there are no warm days but there is warm days. Also, if nature wasn’t trying to throw him off there would have just been lots of grey clouds to indicate a storm
