Jack Lowell Moore On April 2nd, 1926, Lola Riddle Moore gave birth to a little boy in Woodruff, South Carolina (birth certificate). His father was Morris David Moore, a farmer from South Carolina. They named the little boy Jack Lowell Moore. He had two goals in life and they were; to be in the House of Representatives, and to provide for his family. Even though he never truly met those goals he tried his best and gave everything he had to his family and career.
Jack had seven siblings; Robert, MD, Wade, Billy, Grace, Polly, and Patsy. Jack was the youngest out of all the sibling and the only one who wanted to go into politics. Growing up the family lived in one house and most of the children were born inside the house. He spent his entire school career in one building, just walking distance away from their farm house. Every morning the children had chores they had to, Jack had to go and pick cotton. Jacks mom and dad, Lola and Morris David, were very strict parents and wanted to raise Godly children. Every time the doors were open his family was in church. Even though Jack was a little on the unsettled side he was still a Godly man at heart (personal interview).
At seventeen years old Jack misled the army recruiter to get into the Air Force. By joining the army, he had to drop out of school in the eleventh grade and

All the kids wanted him to come outside to play games like softball and kickball with them. Jack loved making the kids smile and just loved having a good time. If you asked his family about him, his children say he was a very good dad and would do anything for them. On the other hand, Rita would say he was her biggest kid of all. Jack always loved golf it was one of his favorite past times. The game of golf meant so much to Jack, that he helped start a golf course in Williamston called Saluda valley Country Club. Jack was one of the first players to make a hole in one on that golf
