Jonah Prescott Mr. Williams English 8th 2/23/24 Leopold and Loeb It was May 12, 1924, Robert “Bobby” Frank was murdered in cold blood. The 14-year-old boy was offered a ride home by his 2nd cousin Richard Loeb and Loeb’s friend and partner in crime Nathan Leopold. But before we continue, I’d like to backtrack a little bit prior to the events of the murder. The two lived the average childhood with a very standard and basic thrifty lifestyle, like how Loeb had a very successful lawyer for a father, or perhaps how Leopold's first words were spoken when he was a meager four months old, or maybe how Leopold’s father was a German immigrant with a nice robust wallet.
Israel Keyes Israel Keyes is an American serial killer who was active from approximately 2001 to his capture in 2012. He is known for his extreme attention to detail, his patience and discipline in selecting targets that lived far away from him, and the meticulous disposal of his victim’s bodies. Keyes killed several victims across the United States and was finally caught in 2012 after he uncharacteristically deviated from his modus operandi and hatched a plan to collect a ransom from his last victim’s family. Other important stories in the J-Source consist of the creation stories (Genesis 1:1- 2:4 and Genesis 2:4- 2:25) and Abrahamic covenant in Genesis 15.
In Jacob’s situation, many children go through rough patches in their lives, whether it must deal with status, money, behavior, or peer pressure. Many theorists came up with ways to explain or comfort people with the issues that go on with the youth, but into Jacobs situation, he came from a lower class with good home circumstances but once he got into school. He didn’t like school, he lacked the drive to do good in school plus with trying to fit in with kids of higher status than him, which made him make tough decisions because he wanted to fit in by stealing a leather jacket. Which didn’t work out as the plan he got caught and now is labeled to an outcast from any stores and at school he is shunned from society due to his poor choices. In

But instead “felt for them a great compassion,” (p. 1286, l. 28). Comparatively, as seen in the Book of Genesis (Hebrew Bible), Esau, when seeing his brother Jacob, “ran to meet him, and embraced him,” (Gen. 33:4). Later, upon seeing the wives and children of his brother Jacob, Esau exclaims, “[w]ho are these with you (Gen. 33:5)?” Esau has pity on Jacob and his family (Gen. 33:1-5) even though he had vowed to take revenge against his brother.
God is good as stated in Psalms: “O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: because his mercy endureth forever” (Psalms 118: 1 KJV). Like Aslan, God is the creator and ruler of all. Paul reports: “For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist” (Colossians 1: 16-17 KJV). The Lion of Judah is mentioned in the Bible as a reference to Jesus Christ (CBN). As stated in Genesis: “Judah, thou art he whom thy brethren shall praise: thy hand shall be in the neck of thine enemies; thy father’s children shall bow down before thee.
