In this book it makes you think and wonder what was going on
The book explains vividly the slaughtering tragedy where the American and the Indians are killing each other without mercy. In this book, the author gives a clear thesis of the events that happen. He develops the story well from the point where the families from Arkansas move through the Utah territory during the Utah War conflict. They arrive at Salt Lake City and eventually stopping to rest at mountain meadows where they are attacked by the militia leaders.
The book really made me think of all the stuff that I take for granted, and how I should be more appreciative and how there are people with less than me who are just as happy if not happier. If you’re not a fan of books that are sad but shocking and at times harsh because you think they’re boring or they don’t fulfill you’re interests, then I would still recommend you try reading the book because it’s very intriguing but I can’t guarantee you’ll love it, and if you do enjoy books like that then I say it’s a must read! Such a great true
This book has moved me and shown me that some people need help that is as simple as listening to what they have to say. So, i am going to make sure that people know they can come to me to talk and I will listen, and not judge them in any way. Also it makes me want to get involved in support groups for those who have been through this type of event so that I may help them in any way I can, because people that have been through something that is not there fault should not suffer from
I must confess that I do not usually read realistic fiction as my personal choice, however I have read many because they were required reading for my children. This book was quite captivating. At first I was surprised to see how many books this author had written. Choosing a book was quite difficult and my schedule did not allow me to get to the library to check them out to see which one I would read. I finally gave in a purchased the e-book.
I was also connected to the text more listening to her and how she tries to match her family experience to the family in the book. I noticed that she was very passionate about Japanese Internment camps, this made me want to strive to be passionate about the book as much as
The journey I was taken on while reading the novel had a beneficial effect on myself, expressed significance to the world about a common topic and showed how the main character gradually changed throughout the story. I felt

This book was very well organized and Ehle did a great job at finding a place to beginning and taking off from there. I also found it nice how he would go into detail on how the Cherokee people would do things and their ways of life. Some enjoyable parts were whenever Ehle explained that John Ridge was voted president of the Cherokee Nation and he said that Major Ridge must have been proud of him. Also another thing I enjoyed was reading the actual letters that Ehle put in the book, some were written by Cherokees to Jackson and others from Jackson to different Cherokee leaders or to Lieutenants or Generals. Although the story was very well thought out I would have wanted to know about more Cherokee people going West than what he normally put on there.
The Last of the Mohicans is written by James Fenimore Cooper, a famous Americans novelist during 1800’s. The setting of the book takes place during the French and Indian War or the Seven’s Years War which happened in 1754 to 1763. This war was comprised of the French and its Native Americans allies like the Algonquin’s and the British with their Native Americans allies such as the Iroquois Confederacy. The French and Indian War was fought in North America, involving the 13 colonies, who gained an abundant amount of profit from supplying not only the British with weapons but the French as well. The victor of the war was the British but the lives lost from the Native Americans allies were much higher than that of the Europeans.
This book was interesting for me because it allowed me to relate to a character. I love reading novels that not only allow me to feel a connection with a character, but allow me to relate to their personality or
This book was fantastic for showing those incidents in the ways it sometimes
Universal Themes: The Lottery A lot of people in the world follow traditions blindly. In the Speculative fiction the Lottery by Shirley Jackson the people in the story follow the tradition of the lottery not realizing the evil of it. The book shows how people do not care who they are hurting as long as the tradition is complete.
“If Cheerleading was easy they’d call it Football!” When I was younger, I LIVED off of this phrase. I posted it, I wrote it in my books, and I spoke it to everyone on the playground, that never got me far though. I was and currently am a Cheerleader and I stood very firm on the subject at hand, “Is Cheerleading a Sport?”
It taught me that strength and perseverance can make a significant impact in life. I also learned that forgiveness and the ability to forgive is much more powerful than I ever realized. This novel sucked me into the story and its characters and took me on an emotional ride of highs and lows. Finally, it forced me to reevaluate my previous judgement of the homeless.
