One of the major events of this strike was the The Ludlow Massacre, where miners and their families were massacred in a garish show of power. The Ludlow Massacre was the Rockefellers’ doing.

This particular organization is socially and scholastically beneficial, and is prosperous for many of its members through the acceptance into the organization and the skills that are gained by being a member. After listening to a few of the oral history interviews and viewing photos from the events that occurred during the 1970 Kent State Shootings, I can’t begin to imagine the true effects of such an occurrence. During the past two decades, I’ve distantly witnessed, via multi-media, numerous acts of massacres on school campuses alone (elementary, high school and college) that resulted in lost lives and immense trauma for all involved. I’m sitting here trying to visualize what it may have been like for all the KS students, facility, and towns people, as well as, the members of the national guard during the weekend of May 1-4, 1970. A colleague of mine, Jane Grote describes it well as she was literally in the middle of it all.

For my science fair project I 'm going to find the reaction of explosions. I also find this interesting because I want to make guns someday. I believe that understanding the Chemistry and Physics of explosions may help me to find the answer to my question.

There were times when things were rough for the people living as pilgrims in the old days. If it was hard rough times working for independence, the starting of their food, or the hardest, defending their homes. Since those times we have used weapons to protect the things we held dearly or fight for the things we wanted. These things were huge aspects to our starting of becoming the nation we are, but the second amendment ( right to bear arms) has been in debate for nearly a century and to this day people still strive for the understanding of the right to bear arms. In order to go deep into the meaning of our right to bear arms, you must know the basics.
In modern society, guns are seen as a form of control. Those who have guns are able to overpower those who do not. This trend was set when guns were first invented and has stayed the same throughout history. The one place where guns are not a symbol of power and control is in literature, specifically “The Old Gun” and Hamilton. In Mo Yan’s short story “The Old Gun”, the protagonist is a hungry boy who does not even know how to use the titular firearm.
Gun Violence At a recent high school football game, a line of excited fans were waiting to purchase tickets when, all of a sudden, loud bursts exploded in the sky. Frantic parents and children scattered in all directions only to realize fireworks were being displayed to celebrate "Senior Night" at Nettleton High School. The sad fact is that daily, the news is filled with stories about mass shootings in schools, theaters, malls, and other places. Innocent lives are being taken by gun violence and nobody seems to have answers.
When we think about drone or UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle), first thing comes to our mind is; frightening, alien looking unmanned aircraft that has been involved with so many bombings and targeted killings. In “Drone Home: What Happens When Drones Return to America”, from Time, Lev Grossman wrote drones are dreaded all around the globe, and possibly they have gotten this fear through the United States Military. Drone technology has been greatly improved last decade, now third of entire Air Force’s fleet is unmanned. U.S Government is sending drones to many war zones to eliminate high-ranking enemies or do surveillance successfully. Even though this rapidly growing technology is changing our perspective of war, it also changing our everyday life drastically to help our community.
Many jobs have become easier by being replaced by robots. Robot are not just the idea of talking mechanical parts as we see in futuristic movies. There are a variety of different types of robotic machines, great majority of them appear in factories and in science technology work fields. Robots in factories help replace a dangerous parts of a job. However, there have been different perspective with robots replacing jobs.
