Jane Austen completed 6 novels during her life. However, she had a greater talent, she represented her talents in a limited work. Her works are all famous, well-known and recognize around the globe. Most of the authors, men of knowledge and those working in literature regard her work, the clarity of messages delivered and the memorable characters she casted in her work. It’s obvious that her actual life had a great influence in her writing and had played an important role in developing her writing skills. Jane Austen had almost 20 years old when she began writing her Northanger Abbey novel. Northanger Abbey is a comic love story and it teaches to the learners and reaches how to separate reality from fantasy. This novel was sold to a publisher and entitled as Susan. Although this work was advertised vastly, it didn’t get published. Henry Austen the brother of Jane Austen after Jane’s death published this book entitled Northanger Abbey.
2. Sense and Sensibility
Jane Austen started writing Sense and Sensibility in 1797, and this is the first of her novels which got published. Initially, no one except her family knew that this book was written by Jane Austen as in the title page of this book it was mentioned that it has been written By a Lady. As a big success, this book earned a huge profit.
3. Pride and Prejudice
This book was written twice before it was published on 1813. For the first time, it was written in 1700’s and then it was rewritten between 1811- 1812. Pride and Prejudice is Austen’s most read novel and it added to her fame considerably. Many people consider this book as popular favorite. Initially this title of this book was “First Impressions”, and then the name changed to Pride and Prejudice.
