The French revolution, as with all forms of war tends to have a profound impact on the lives of the people, especially the artists. As regimes change the art that is inspired by these times changes. The art can show messages of protest or support. The French Revolution was no different in this respect. The French Revolution lasted from 1789 – 1799.
