Hello everybody!

The deductive reasoning is when a person think logical rather on emotion. Deductive reasoning begin with a certain premises that are true, and then a person will judge whether or not the premises thoroughly make sense logically. (Matlin,2013). For example, All men are mortal. Harold is a man. There are two different types of deductive reasoning conditional reasoning and Syllogisms. It is considered sound and pure logic. (Matlin,2013) What is conditional reasoning? Conditional reasoning is when a conclusion can be either valid or invalid, even when premises are true. What is Syllogisms? According to Literary Devices.com, Syllogism is a rhetorical device that starts an argument with a reference to something general and from this it draws conclusion about something more specific. (Literary Devices, 2015). My example of a Syllogism, all humans are fast walkers, Jarrod is an human, so Jarrod is a fast walker. Jarrod is an human and he walks well, but Jarrod actually is an slow walker. Given the premises that all humans are fast walkers and Jarrod is an human, it is logical to assume that Jarrod is an fast walker …show more content…
