Have you ever had a dream, one you imagined could come to a reality and no else thought possible? Jay Gatsby had this fantasy. He held on to his optimism. A man named Nick Carraway moved in next to Jay and told him you can’t relive the past. His faith was in his ability to make Daisy love him again. You can’t destroy a relationship try rebuild it again thinking it will be the same.

For instance Jay and Daisy used to love each other, but Jay went to war and when the war ended he let Daisy believe he had died. He had led Daisy to believe he was rich by honest means. Daisy had to find out about Jay’s mischievous ways by Tom, her husband who was mischievous also and who had revealed the truth. Even then Jay denied the truth and continued to ly. He was a bootlegger so this means he made alcohol illegally and sold it. He cheated the law by doing this illegal act. So this means he got around the law. Jay stole the integrity of the police department. Jay stole Myrtles right for real justice.

You can still succeed at achieving your dream because half the time people make the right choices. Such as Jordan Baker, she was hardly in any of the mess. She was kind of just there. She kept out of it because of her fame. She was that kind of friend to Daisy and Nick that supported them in dark moments. Jordan Baker was always around Jay but she never told anyone anything, trying not to create issues.

You can’t break a heart repeatedly and rebuild that heart expecting everything to be fine. In the end Jay never learned his lesson he died in his stubborn ways. The people around him learned through him that taking advantage of life. Nick saw everything that went on in Jay’s life, never completely believing all the lies or truths. Nick moved away not wanting to deal with his
