In the story, of Aa Llesson Before Dying, one of a few main characters characteristics are specified as an ignorant illiterate, stubborn, simple, conflicted, and a innocent man. Jefferson is that character. Why are is Jefferson’s uneducated ties into his characteristics, also why he lose his identity, what affected his relationship bond with Grant, and how does Jefferson character reflects society at that time period.
