“Man is not truly one, but truly two” It is very difficult to lead a respectable life in society without both the good and bad sides of one's personality surfacing, or so is the case with Dr. Jekyll in Robert Louis Stevenson's "Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde". Dr. Jekyll recognized within himself two warring personalities, and in the name of science, discovered how to isolate these personalities to create two, distinct individuals with almost opposite natures. Jekyll himself remaining genuine and good, and a friend to many.
