The crime that was committed was necrophilia and murder. The male victim was Jeremiah Weinberger, a 25 year old Chicago native of caucasian and Puerto Rican descent. He worked as a customer service representative in the video sales department of a cinema. He lived in a apartment on the north side of the city with his friends. His social status was middle-class, and his criminal history is unknown. Amongst his activities were going to gay bars at night in Chicago. The crime was committed at 213 Oxford Apartments, North 25th Street, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Weinberger met the unsub at a bar called Carol’s speakeasy in Chicago. They struck up a friendship, and Weinberger boarded a Greyhound bus with the perpetrator to Milwaukee. He stayed at the apartment for the night, and asked the offender if he could leave. The man persuaded Weinberger to stay for one more drink, which he put drugs in. After Weinberger lost consciousness, the man drilled a hole in Weinbergers skull, and injected boiling water into his brain. Weinberger woke up, groggy but still alive. This forced the man to put drugged liquor into him, and then gave Weinberger another injection of boiling water. This sent Jeremiah into a coma. The next day, the unsub left for work and when he returned, Weinberger was dead. He was the only victim who died with their eyes open. The killer than disposed of Jeremiah using acid and a plastic bin. This shows the offender has a behavior that is cruel and aggressive, and probably didn’t care about the fact that he killed someone. After the unsub killed Weinberger by strangling and lobotomizing him, he got rid of the body by dumping it into a barrel full of acid he most likely kept somewhere near his residence or where he worked, and probably bought at a hardware store without raising suspicion. Before he did this, however, he spent time with the deceased victim and performed necrophilia and most likely took polaroids of the dismembered body so he would be able to remember what he did with the body. After he disposed of the body by putting it into a gallon barrel of acid, the unsub most likely went on with his day, probably not feeling bad about the crime he just
