Jerome's Eulogy

Jerome was born on a small dairy farm in Corcoran back on July 25, 1963. His mother was a teacher and his father was a dairy farmer. Growing up on a farm, Jerome knew what it was like to be a hard worker. He showed great respect to his elders, especially his hard working mother. Jerome had great respect for his mother who was a hard working stay at home mom who went back to teaching when Jerome started school. He said one thing he remembered about his childhood was “How hard my mom worked.” When Jerome was not working on the farm, he was with friends. Some of the places him and his friends would hang out was the Ridgedale Mall and DairyQueen. He enjoyed watching the TV show M.A.S.H. when he was young too. He decided he wanted to be a pastor. At age 14 he was sent off to New Ulm Minnesota to Martin Luther Acadamy. During his college years at Martin Luther Prep and Northwestern College he continued to study to be a pastor. He ended up not becoming a pastor. He said being a pastor involves a lot of work and writing and he did not want to do that. After college Jerome met his soon to be wife, Sandy, at the age of 26. Sandy Came from Crystal, MN. When asked about the proposal he said it was “Nothing special.” Jerome said his best moment in life is “The first time I saw my wife.” The couple went on to have four children named Nick, Sam, Jared, and Chase. When asked how he found out he was having his first child he said “I found out before she did.” They have been married for over 25 years and counting. Shortly after getting married, Jerome lost his mother when he was 30 years old. He was very attached to his mother that died of cancer. One thing he says he remember about his mother's death is that “No one was there when she died.” He said his greatest regret in life is “That I didn’t tell my mom I loved her as much as I should
