Introduction On October 19th 1992 witnesses believed they saw twenty three year old Laura Houghteling leave her Bethesda home, not knowing in fact that it was Hadden Clark, a part time gardner who worked for the Houghteling family. What would follow this sighting, and the subsequent missing persons report of Laura Houghteling would be a fascinating murder investigation which would lead to a precedent setting conviction and the capture of a serial killer. Anthony Elementary Principal Linda Perez has a “no excuse attitude for her students and staff.” As principal she applied and received the first National Blue Ribbon in the area of Southern New Mexico. This achievement sets Ms.Perez as a go-getter, as will see with her many other accomplishments. Born in 1968 and raised in southside-central El Paso, Texas, Ms.Perez grew up in an economically disadvantaged household. Her dad worked as a laborer earning less than minimum wage, and her mom was a stay-at-home mom.

Although the Diane Downs case involved a murder many mothers have chosen their romantic interest over their children. Many women who choose to neglect their children for men usually live in poor conditions such as when a single mother can’t provide for her family she will find a man who can take care of business within the household, usually when single mothers find men to take care of their families the men tend to be abusive and sometimes sexual to children. A mother’s neglect and unwilling to put the needs of her children before her own can turn into a vicious cycle of abuse and substance abuse to forget what the last family line did to them in the past. The Ashley case was about a medical procedure done that went over the line of biological ethicality for many. The scenario has a plethora of factors to consider when questioning its ethicality. Even with all of the facts, both options have negative results It was a highly debated decision made by two parents that was sure to set precedent for future medical practices.
