Jesus Neglect In Odysseus's Dog, Argos

255 Words2 Pages
When Jesus came to earth he started establishing his kingdom. He sacrificed everything and suffered for his people. The people loved him and followed him. Odysseus was similar to Jesus in that he created a kingdom and served his people well. When Odysseus left, the servants stopped doing their work and they neglected Odysseus’s home despite all that he had done for them. Among these victims of neglect was Odysseus’s dog, Argos. Just like Jesus’s disciples, Argos was strong and obedient. When Jesus left the earth he left us in charge of his kingdom just like Odysseus left his people in charge of his kingdom. Just like the servants, we too have stopped doing the work that we were called to do because we no longer feel Jesus’s authority.
