The three religions Judaism, Christianity and Islam have a majority of things in common, they all believe that there is a higher power in the universe. Each have a name for their God, Jews call God Adoanai, or “my Lord”. And Christian’s believe in a high power who they call Father and associate him to Jesus Christ. Islam’s believe that the father’s name is Allah meaning all powerful, all-seeing, and all-merciful. Islamic women wear a hijab or a veil that will cover their head and chest, this is worn as a form of modesty. Christians wear clothing that is modest, and not to revealing, wear as the Jewish men wear turbans, tunics, cloaks, and sandals. We were given a beautiful scripture that will help us when we are under stress from this world. Matthew 6:25-33 which reads 25 “On this account I say to you: Stop being anxious about your lives as to what you will eat or what you will drink, or about your bodies as to what you will wear. Does not life mean more than food and the body than clothing? 26 Observe intently the birds of heaven; they do not sow seed or reap or gather into storehouses, yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not worth more than they are? 27 Who of you by being anxious can add one cubit to his life span? 28 Also, why are you anxious about clothing? Looking back into history, you can see that regardless of being a Jew, Christian or Islam, all want to please God in some way. The pictures that we learned about in our lesson, gives great evidence in our history of bible times such as the temple of Jerusalem, where the Jews would go into the courtyards engaging in daily prayer. Judaism is still being practiced by millions all around the world, they go into their temples or house of worship and offer up their prayers to God. Along with Islam practices they meet in open areas to pray, and are required to pray five times a day, at daybreak, noon, mid-afternoon, sunset and evening. Christians have their place of worship, in churches that can be seen by
