This experience helped me more about being the head of an organization. Being about of this club is very beneficial because it is basic preparation of becoming a leader. Being a leader of an organization such a DECA speaks volumes
I can contribute my knowledge of social justice and ability to be a community servant to this organization. My long-term life goal is to become a hospital owner in multiple underrepresented areas and foreign countries. Being a community servant, one can build character while helping open doors or provide opportunities for those who are less fortunate. I’ve read the many articles of the large groups of Alpha men graduating from Meharry Medical College, that have had such a huge impact on the surrounding communities by giving a helping hand when needed. It’s the small things that count and makes me eager to join the previous groups of male leaders striving to achieve their goals, which defy all odds against
The boys and girls club has many great sports activities to join in to help get kids out of the street and become more active in their community. They are there for you when you need them the most and you make so many new positive friends through the activities they have. Camp voyageur was my favorite camp they made you feel wanted and you never felt left out the camp leaders helped you become a leader and made you feel more independent. Boys and girls club have shown me a lot in life and I want to further my education so that someday I can give back to them. With all of my reasons why I want to further my education the most important reason is so I can give back to my family and community one day.
National Junior Honor Society is the start of everything. This group helps set me up for my years to come. Being in the NJHS it helps me get into the one in high school, which looks really good one college applications. Having national junior honor society for both middle school and high school would give me a better chance to get into a college I really want to get into. I’ve always wanted to be someone who could help or make a change in this world, instead of just trying to get through life easy.
By active community service, leadership roles, and hard work, I have learned the incredible importance of academic achievement, character, leadership, and service. Through these things, I have been substantially prepared by the Beta Club to serve others as I depart high school and
These organizations will help provide resources and consulting services to further develop my nonprofit. It has been been a goal of mine to attend the United States Naval Academy after visiting Annapolis with my grandparents in 2012. Since visiting the Naval Academy I knew that I wanted to serve America with the utmost honor and integrity. The Naval Academy Summer Seminar would give me the ability to hone my leadership skills and give me valuable experience that I could use as a Navy Midshipman and throughout life. This summer experience is an opportunity of a lifetime because it will allow me to understand and benefit from the mental and physical challenges the academy provides. Challenging myself at the Naval Academy Summer Seminar would be greatly beneficial for me because I will have the confidence and skills to make decisions
I have a story that I would love to share with you all, I doubted myself although I had practiced, during the table service competition in the service portion I mistakenly poured water into the candle holder, when I told my instructor he asked "what in the world made you think that the candle holder was a glass?! " My response was, " I thought it was a fancy glass!" But that did make me hide my face, I pushed through the rest of the competition, with shaking hands, and a confidence level that hit rock bottom. Later I brushed it off and I said to myself, mistakes have to be made to achieve greatness.
Chapter 1 Teen Activists All teen activists such as Alex Lin Malala and Iqbal work to help make a world a better place. That might take months or even years. We know that's a long time! Teen Activists also face challenges like, they cannot spread the word to others, they have many people stand in there way,and the reason activists do these things even though it puts there life at risk is because they want to help in ways they can. According to (Youth Activists Project), “nearly half of the world population is underage 18.
The only organization that maintains and follows the principles set forth by the 22 founders that started it all based on community service and scholarship. I am physically and mentally prepared to serve for a life time. I am confident in all that I commit myself
My intention is not to join this organization to step or because I like to party but, because I believe whole-heartedly in the values of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc., scholarship, service, sisterhood and finer womanhood. I believe that through Zeta Phi Beta Inc. I will be able to fine tune my leadership skills, make lifelong friendships and help people on my journey as others did for me. It is my hope that this lifestyle will change my life for the better.
During my time with the club I often met with Kiwanis (A organization of volunteers), soon I learned that Kiwanis created The Key club to give high school students an opportunity to serve their community. I also uncovered that The Georgia Institute of Technology also enjoys a Kiwanis club. In terms of service I believe that through community service, I may make a positive contribution to Georgia Tech upon arrival. I am very excited to join Kiwanis in college. I have always served locally, but I am exuberant to assist broader
In grade 11, I was introduced to the DECA club. DECA is an international organization involving students in business leadership and networking with other DECA clubs that share similar business interests, learning skills and goals. The DECA competition component involves a written exam and case study presentation, tailored to a specific business category. Teams are clustered by a school, where students may compete individually or in a partnership. My high school started DECA for the first time in 2014 and I thought, what better opportunity to pursue my interest in business than to become a founding member of this program at my school.
I have always grown up in a Jewish environment. I go to shul on Shabbat, I go to a Jewish day school and always spend the Chaggim with my family. Growing up, my life has always revolved around my Jewish development. Since my life has always had aspects of Judaism in it, my Jewish devotement was instilled in me at a very young age. Being Jewish was something I have always valued, so there was never something that had a big influence on my Jewish development.
