The Go-to Place Are you hungry? Are you craving something that will satisfy your appetite? Do you want to eat away from home but not quite sure where to go? If so, I highly suggest coming to Jimmy’s Italian Kitchen. This restaurant is located in Kettering, Ohio, on 3002 Woodman drive, that sits away in a corner from the other shops in a small plaza. On the outside it is a small white brick building with green and red paint around the windows and the main door, a brown roof with a sign of the name of the restaurant, and in front of the entrance is a small, light brown deck with black chairs and tables. The prices for those options are between $10.99 and $13.99, which is great because a house salad and a side of rolls are included. Lunch specials are available Monday through Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. A few option examples are Stuffed Shells, Baked Ziti, and sandwiches, like Ham and Cheese, Italian Combo, and Eggplant Parmigiana. All of the prices range from $5.99 to $7.99. One of the most popular dishes at Jimmy’s is called The Works. It is a pizza that comes in sizes ten, twelve, or sixteen inches, with tasty toppings like pepperoni, green peppers, onions, mushrooms, sausage, olives, and cheese. Because it was a best seller, I knew that I had to try it. I ordered the ten inch, which is $9.99. When my pizza was brought out to me I noticed how enticing it looked. The crust was cooked to perfection, it was thin, flaky, and buttery. The garlic was lightly spread across the dough and toppings, and the pepperoni, green peppers, onions, mushrooms, sausage, olives, and cheese were the icing on the cake. They were constructed nicely on the pizza, as if the chef actually took his or her time. There was so much toppings and cheese that I could hardly see the sauce. When I tasted the pizza the toppings, loads of cheese, and sauce tingled my taste buds. The sauce had a light and sweet taste. I knew then that this was so far the best pizza I have ever eaten, especially compared to other pizzas I’ve eaten from different restaurants, like Papa Johns and Godfather’s.
