Bob Fosse fictionalizes and examines his own experiences and their meaning through the character of Joe Gideon in the musical film All That Jazz. All of this character’s actions, regardless of their perceived morality, or lack thereof, and potential ramifications, relate to his work as a director and a choreographer.
