Blood is Thicker Personal Response: I think it was an interesting book to read. Like in the beginning of the book when Hakeem and his family move to Detroit because of his dad's cancer. I think it was a jerk move to be mean like Savon was to Hakeem cause he was in a time of need, Hakeem didn't move there because he wanted too. Also that Hakeem was so sad that he lost Darcy I thought it was gonna take him longer to find another girl, but as soon as he met Anika, Darcy was set in his past.

The Vision in Joe Turner’s Come and Gone In August Wilson’s play Joe Turner ’s Come and Gone there was a character named Herald Loomis. At the end of Act 1 that character had a vision. “Sober Song” by Barton Sutter is arranged as a free verse poem with a rhyme scheme pattern within every other line. This poem describes a man saying his goodbyes to the memories he has had with alcohol. The poem’s beat and rhythm reminds the reader of a broken love song to the liquor that had once taken over his life. In lines in 1 through 4, we have a special pattern displayed not only in these lines, but throughout the entire poem.

I doubt anyone was surprised by this decision due to the level of star quality Michael had even as a young boy just starting out in the music business.
