He took out the tea-bag and poured in some sugar very gently, just enough to get it the way he always liked it. John Donne; a very intelligent 8 years old boy, struck by his father’s ever continuing absence, sat down with his tea just before he had to go to the catholic church in thirty minutes. When he was four years old his mother told him that his dad was going to be a warden. His father being away all the time could be explained by the fact that he was a warden who had to run many hours of well… guarding. John wasn’t very fond of his father because of the given circumstances, he thought every boy deserved and needed a father to teach them responsibility and lead them into manhood.

Of course it would mean they’re officially partners for life, but the way he and Anne were so close and good friends made him feel like the best of their times has already arrived and shall remain until death parts them. This gave him a comforting feeling.
“Yes, John! Oh my lord yes! I do, i do!”. John and Anne were just finished dining at a closeby restaurant when John gained the courage to ask her to marry him. He was feeling so fortunate, so lucky and ever so content and it gave him the urge to write out his feelings. Anne would definitely not mind him writing her a poem so he thought: might as well.
And so John was sitting in his room writing and thinking surrounded by an ocean of thrown away crumbled papers with poetry not quite perfect enough for John to find acceptable and possibly not even for Anne. Writing this particular poem came with great difficulty as he was struggling to remember the times that he was not with her which should come prior to the climax in his poem.
