John F. Kennedy, also known as JFK, is perhaps the most-loved president in American history. Our 35th President of the United States served from January 1961 until his assassination in November 1963. Although he was young and did not get to serve his full term he accomplished many great things. All these documents embody the beginning of an admirable presidency and the commencement of a new hope for a nation gone forlorn. Kennedy served at the pinnacle of the Cold War and spent a large fragment of his presidency focusing on managing relations with the Soviet Union.
Following the First World War, the Treaty of Versailles was ratified in 1919 with the goal of bringing a lasting peace in Europe between the Allied powers and Germany. However, its unpopular and one-sided declarations, combined with the harsh reparations imposed on the defeated nations, would ultimately lead to the outbreak of World War II less than two decades later. The treaty was a harsh punishment on Germany forcing them to set limits on their military capabilities and make reparation payments. The Treaty of Versailles did not adequately address the grievances of the German people, which ultimately led to a resurgence of nationalism, militarism, and resentment of the Allies, contributing to the outbreak of World War II. In general I would say Richard Nixon was a fairly decent president. During a time where there were many protests amongst the American public (especially the youth) against the troops in Vietnam, Nixon was able to pull the troops out of the war. Nixon also reduced the tensions with the Soviet Union, and helped China join the United Nations. He also helped decrease the amount of racial discrimination by segregating schools in the south. It is a shame though, that those achievements of his are not acknowledged because of the Watergate Scandal.
Most people agree that a president should be a good leader, with strong beliefs, with the will to stay strong in what you think, and to do what you say you will, Grover Cleveland unlike some presidents did these things. John F. Kennedy was seen as a force of change in the presidential election, and is considered one of the youngest presidents to ever be in office, and was a beacon of hope for many. He sounds a bit like King Arthur now, but as one looks even deeper, you can start to see the cracks in that comparison. According to
John F Kennedy was a level headed, determined and well accomplished person. During his short-lived presidency, he had to take on challenges like no other and did it with sophistication and grace. From conflicts involving other countries, like Vietnam, to the Civil Rights Movement that directly affected our own country, Kennedy continued to take each problem day by day until there was an overall improvement or resolution. It would be safe to say that he is one of the more progressive presidents our country has ever seen. David Burner’s John F. Kennedy and a New Generation was written with the sole purpose of giving an insight into Kennedys upbringing and presidency in an entirely unbiased approach.
Over a period of 240 years there has been 44 presidents and the U.S has had both good times and bad times and that all depended on who was running the country and what choices they made when it came to crisis and many other difficulties. John Adams was born on October 30, 1735 in Quincy Massachusetts. He studied at Harvard and received his Undergraduate and Master 's degrees. After receiving his degrees he became a faithful lawyer and was chosen to help draft the Declaration of Independence in the year of 1774 while also serving on the first Continental Congress. In the year 1797 he was elected as President and served until the year 1801 and is one of the United States Founding Fathers.
He went on to shut down a corrupt bank, be the first and last president to rid the U.S. of all debt, and make many other accomplishments. However, there were some poor choices along the way. The Trail of Tears being an example of this; the mass killing of multiple Indians. Every president has made mistakes. This being on of the worst.
He motivated his men to keep pushing even when the times were tough, in the cold winters of Winter Forge. In these below freezing temperature where many men were dying he told them to keep on giving there all. He served as a great role model for these young soldiers. Through his smart military decisions, the United States of America won the
The United States has had very many heros that served as our presient. Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln, and George Washington are all heros and were a very important part of our society. They all did everything they could do to make this world a better place, yet they all had their differences in going about doing it. But i will have to say that the strongest president was Thomas Jefferson. Thomas was one of the smartest men to live and not only was he very smart but he had a desire to constantly learn new things.
Over hundreds of years America has had many presidents, some able to complete the tasks at hand, but many were not worthy of leading this nation. President Abraham Lincoln was one of the few who led the United States of America with great strength and courage. Abraham Lincoln was the best U.S. president because he had a great impact on ending slavery and he was one of the greatest natural strategists and leaders of all time. Abraham Lincoln is considered to be America 's wisest president. Abraham Lincoln, "proved to be a shrewd military strategist and a savvy leader during what became the costliest conflict ever fought on American soil."
