In 1781 he was a member of the Legislature of his nature state. He was revenue officer in Pennsylvania during Whiskey Rebellion. In his retirement he got elected as first president of Philadelphia Bank, first president of the Philadelphia Academy of Fine Arts, and vice president of the Philadelphia Agricultural Society. George represented Pennsylvania until his death when he signed.

After the revolution was beginning in 1775-1776, the middle years brought the Americans rebels the knowledge that their struggle for independence would not be a quick and simple war. The most fearfully enemy of George Washington in the war was General Cornwallis. Maybe, if Washington would have attacked Clinton’s army in New York, the finish of the war would have been not in his favor, but Rochambeau had another idea: take Cornwallis on Virginia’s Yorktown peninsula. Thus, for the first time in the long war, Washington saw the opportunity to use naval superiority to his advantage. They send a message by frigate to admiral de Grasse in the West Indies, acting autonomously; he made one of the momentous decisions of the war.

Through December 1777 to June 1778, George Washington led the Continental Army through winter camp. The Continental Army was an army of Patriot soldiers who fought against Britain. The Patriots hated Britain for their taxes and laws. So they went off to war. There was just one problem, they did not know how bad the conditions were going to be.
John Jay, an American statesman, a Patriot, one of the Founding Fathers of the United States, a signer of the Treaty of Paris, and first Chief Justice of the United States, wrote a letter to George Washington on June 27, 1786. You may be thinking right now, “Why should I care?” That letter was written in regards on the topic Federalists and Anti-Federalists constantly debated about: the Articles of Confederation. Jay was a strong advocate against the Articles, which would make sense because he was a Federalist. He had written a letter to the United States Minister before and he would also give a speech in August of 1786.
On August 28, 1775, when congress recessed John finally took the opportunity to marry his fiancee Dorothy Quincy, they had two kids but neither one live to be adults. On July 4, 1776, something big happened in John 's life him and Continental Congress were the only two to sign the original version of the Declaration of independence on that day. The reason John said he wrote his name so big was so John Bull could read it without his glasses, John Bull was the general in England at the time. In October of 1777 John was forced to resign from Presidency because of health problems. By 1778 he recovered from his problem and was given the order as a Major General of Massachusetts Militia.

Nathan graduated class with first class honors in 1773 at the age of 18 and he became a teacher in East Haddam and later in New London. Nathan Hale first joined a Connecticut militia and became first lieutenant in 5 months. His militia participated in the siege of Boston and Hale remained behind. Later Hale received a letter from his old classmate Benjamin Talmadge that said

He was then promoted to sub-lieutenant after a series of courses at Portsmouth in which he gained the top grade in four out of five sections of the qualifying examination. He was then later promoted to lieutenant followed on July 16, 1942. In October of the same year he became first lieutenant of HMS Wallace, at 21 years old one of the youngest first lieutenants in the Royal Navy. During the invasion of Sicily, in July 1943, as second in command of HMS Wallace, he saved his ship from a night bomber attack.

Spence was an affluent planter who also practiced carpentry as a hobby. Both of his parents married in 1752 and they had several children. His parents died when he was a teenager, leaving him part of the family farm.
By late 1776, Benedict Arnold had recovered greatly from his war injury to once again take the battlefield. He played a vital role in interrupting a British invasion from Canada into New York that year. Despite his heroic personality, and great services, Arnold felt he did not receive the recognition he deserved. Which he didn’t. He resigned from the Continental Army in 1777 after Congress welcomed five junior officers over him.
